St. David's is a community
committed to grow in faith and
understanding of God's Will
and to serve as a channel for
love in God's world

The parish originated in 1912
as a Mission of St. Luke's.
Services were held in the area
of 81st Street and 76th Avenue
until 1928. In 1951 St.
David's was re-established
under Bishop Barfoot and the
boundaries established.
Services were held in the King
Edward Park Community Hall,
then at the corner of 80th
Avenue and 81st Street. The
basement of the present church
was completed in 1953 and
services were held there until
the main building was finished
in 1955. The church was
dedicated on November 1, 1955,
All Saint's Day, and
consecrated on December 8,
1963.
Since 1952, St. David’s has had seven rectors. It was served by the Reverend R. N.
Alcock from 1952 to 1953; the Reverend H. G. MacDonald from 1953 to 1957 and by the Reverend D. E. Jones from 1957 to 1961.
Archdeacon R. A. Sayer served the parish for 24 years prior to his retirement on April 7, 1985.
The Reverend B. G. Randall became our fifth rector from September 1985 to August 1996, and the
Reverend M. J. Wimmer was our sixth rector from September 1997 to October 2005. Currently our rector is the Reverend Cameron Burns.
